Current methods are frustratingly slow and awkward.

The research scientists developed a new biological neural machine called

targeted muscle reinnervation.

They removed fat tissue from under the skin so they can detect the signals.

The patient has to think the things that he/she wants to move the arm.

In the old prosthetics there was no real sense of touch and in (TMR) the hand can sense,pressure,temperature,and texture of objects and actuators over reinnervated skin.

TMR is a nerve transfer procedure that the doctors move your nerves in your arm to your chest muscles so that the arm nerves and the chest muscles contracts.

People with amputations where nerves are not damaged can benefit TMR.

TSR is a reinnervation that lets your arm feel things that you touch.
